VALUES

SERVICE: Service is not something you do as much as it is a way of life.  Everyone is uniquely gifted and skilled and should use those abilities for the betterment of the community in which they reside.

EXCELLENCE:  If anything is worth doing, it is worth doing well. Leaders set the tone and people are drawn to excellence.  Striving for excellence shows respect for others and for one’s self.

POSITIVE ACTION:  Spectators never accomplish anything great.  Action is commitment, it is energizing and it fosters learning about yourself and those around you. Action is necessary for change.

EMPOWERMENT:  Direction without opportunity for application is sterile – producing disheartenment among those who are tasked with execution. Empowerment consists of informing, training and leading by example and then releasing people to act with guided autonomy. Empowered individuals are those who are set up to learn, grow and succeed.

INTEGRITY:  Your word is important, your actions are sacrosanct.  We must be beyond reproach in all we undertake, following through on commitments to the best of our abilities.
